Thinking Test
Do you believe that you still have the ability to think? If so, here
are four questions for you to consider.
1. How is it "anti-choice" to make sure that a woman considering abortion
is fully informed about all the ramifications of that decision?
         a. The information she is given might be biased toward one decision rather
than the other.
         b. She might realize that one side or the other is lying to her.
         c. She might make a decision that would hurt someone's profit margin.
2. The typical waiting period between the knowledge of a pregnancy and an
abortion is 7 to 30 days. Why then is a 24 hour waiting period
unacceptable?
         a. It is a waste of valuable time. She should hurry up and get it over
with.
         b. She might have a little longer to think about the finality of her
decision.
         c. She might change her mind and hurt someone's profit margin.
3. If the leading provider of amputations in the state told you that your
foot needed to be amputated would you:
         a. Go immediately and have it done.
         b. Gather all the information about your options and think carefully about
the decision before you.
         c. Seek a second opinion from a doctor that specializes in treating your
problem rather than chopping it off.
4. Why would a business be so opposed to information and time for
reflection on an important decision?
         a. They have already thought these things through and know which decision
you should make.
         b. They are concerned that by receiving opposing information, you might be
confused.
         c. They have something to gain when a quick and uninformed decision is
made.
If at least one out of each group of answers sounds fishy, you passed.
